| Twin’s education programmes are mainly aimed at people looking to work in the classroom with teachers and students. The roles we can train you for have many titles, including teaching assistant, learning support or classroom assistant.
You might be already working in a school as a paid assistant, as a volunteer, or you could be out of work and looking for a route into this area. Perhaps you were a teacher in a different country and would like to update your training to find work in a UK school.
Whatever your situation, you’ll need a specific set of skills to be able to do the job and Twin education programmes are a good step. They’re nationally recognised, helping you to achieve the National Occupational Standards and are thoroughly assessed and quality-controlled.
When you qualify with Twin, you could work as a teaching assistant in nursery, infant or junior school, special school, secondary school or independent school. Twin’s Employment team can help you find a job.
With experience you may be able to progress to senior assistant or be assessed for Higher Level Teaching Assistant status.
