Some careers start better with an apprenticeship, earn while you learn and improve your prospects today!
There are some careers where taking an apprenticeship can be more beneficial than studying or working alone. Becoming an apprentice provides you with the opportunity to gain first hand work experience of your chosen industry while studying for one or two days per week to gain a recognised qualification.
An apprenticeship will give you the chance to earn while you learn and there are many industries and specialist sectors which take on apprentices. One of the best things about an apprenticeship is that many employers pay more than the minimum apprentice wage and when you meet certain criteria, you may even be eligible for the National Minimum Wage.
Apprenticeships are available across a number of levels and can take anything from one to four years to complete. Once you start to reach the higher levels, you can consider applying to university and some apprenticeship programmes even offer a degree qualification upon completion. Apprentice roles are available in anything from office based roles to practical and technical jobs, so there is something for everyone! If you are interested in a particular sector or role but don’t want to go down the traditional work/study route, an apprenticeship could be the best option for you to achieve career success
