Discover how we've helped people gain employability skills and confidence, ensuring they could move towards, or find, employment
Twin Employment and ESFA
As part of our Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) and European Social Fund (ESF) partnership we are able to help individuals who are looking for employment but need further assistance to improve their English and employability skills.
We aim to support learners with pre-entry level English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) and Employability skills, in order for them to become more confident and able to move towards or into employment.
Case study: Fatemeh Edalat
Fatemeh Edalat was referred to our programme via another student on the course. When she first came to us she was very motivated, but her learner speaking was very basic; she needed further assistance with her listening, writing and grammar. Due to her lack of employability skills and knowledge of where to look and how to apply for jobs, coupled with her level of English, she lost confidence.
To help Fatemeh, we provided her with:
As a result of the support provided, Fatemeh was able to apply for jobs independently and became more confident and motivated. Fatemeh improved her English and employability skills, which enabled her to secure an interview, where she was offered the job, at Heathrow Airport as a part time customer services advisor.
Fatemeh’s future plans are to further improve her English and progress her career into a senior role.
