Our Erasmus+ programme is in operation and currently sending candidates to all countries. We are closely monitoring and following all UK and participating countries governments, FCO and Erasmus+ advise and rules. Our next available start dates are mid-April for 3-month placements.

Do all of that, while earning credits towards a BTEC level 3 qualification in either Social Media for Business, Hospitality Leadership or Teaching English as a Foreign Language. What's not to love?

Erasmus+ is an EU funded programme, which means that your flights, accommodation, insurance, work placement, support and mentoring are all included in this empowering placement opportunity. We will be hosting work experience placements in Spain, Portugal and Ireland.

We operate a rolling application with several departure dates throughout the year. These internships will last for 13 weeks, and all applications are processed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We have positions available at all locations (Ireland, Portugal and Spain) in Social Media for Business and Hospitality Leadership and Teaching English as a Foreign Language is available in Spain.

What's included?

This government-funded programme is specifically designed to help you gain valuable work experience, which is why all costs are covered. 

What's included in the programme?

  • 13-week work placement in either social media for business, hospitality leadership or Teaching English as a Foreign Language (Spain Only)
  • Return flights to the country in which you are interning 
  • Accommodation
  • Fully comprehensive Travel Insurance for the duration of your programme

  • Awards contributing to a Level 3 qualification within your chosen sector*

*Level 3 Qualifications include:

  • Level 3 Certificate in Hospitality Leadership
  • Level 3 Certificate in Social Media for Business
  • Level 3 Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) (Spain only)

 *Please note that any costs incurred, for example, travel and accommodation for the training days at Twin or travel to and from the airport, is not covered under the Erasmus+ funding. You will need to cover these costs

An extra qualification

Together with your internship, you will earn a qualification matching the area of your work in one of the following: 

  • Level 3 Certificate in Hospitality Leadership
  • Level 3 Certificate in Social Media for Business
  • Level 3 Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) (Spain only)

Please be aware that the completion of your qualification before departure for your work experience is compulsory.
The training, usually taking place at our Greenwich school, due to COVID-19 is now delivered remotely and takes between 3 and 5 days to be completed (course dependent).

We look after our students by providing 24/7 support before and during their Erasmus+ placement. A member of staff will fly out with you, introduce you to your company and assist with the transition into living abroad.

Spain - Seville:
The accommodation provided is in self-catering, shared apartments with your fellow participants.
All participants will have a single room with shared facilities and living space, such as a kitchen and bathroom.
The flats are centrally located in the Macarena district of Seville which is near the University hospital (5 minutes) and the trendy Alameda de Hércules plaza, where you will find bars, tapas and lively nightlife.
All apartments are basic but provide all conveniences. Utilities and WIFI are provided as part of the programme and are available in all apartments.

Spain - Valencia:
The accommodation provided is in self-catering, shared apartments with your fellow participants and other international students.
Single bedroom and shared facilities include all utilities and WIFI. You will be centrally located and close to amenities and your work placement.

Ireland - Dublin:
Individuals will stay in residential accommodation with your fellow Erasmus participants, where you will have the opportunity to meet like-minded people from around the world, in the heart of Dublin. Rooms are single en-suite rooms, with shared facilities and living spaces, on-site gym, cinema and free Wi-Fi. There is even a roof-top garden to enjoy the beautiful views as the sun sets over the city. 

Portugal - Lisbon:
Individuals will stay in single rooms with shared facilities and living space. Utilities and WIFI are provided. Accommodation will be chosen according to the location of your placement and distance from the city centre.



The vibrant capital of Southern Spain's Andalusia region and is the most populated city in southern Spain. 

Famous for Flamenco dancing, tapas and its many historic buildings, including The Gothic Seville Cathedral - the site of Christopher Columbus' tomb, Seville is a popular tourist destination with beautiful beaches and great weather all year round.  


The Republic of Ireland's capital city, situated on the east coast and often describes as "Europe's largest village."
There is plenty to see owing to Dublin's colourful past, from its Viking origins to live music in local historic venues. Historic buildings include the imposing St Patrick's Cathedral, founded in 1191. Dublin has always maintained a cosmopolitan outlook and in the last two decades has embraced diversity and multiculturalism. You'll hear languages and eat foods from all around the world.


Spend three months in the "World's most leading city" according to the World Travel Awards in 2018. Lisbon's beautiful cobbled streets are nestled in amongst the city's famous seven hills, each of which offers a scenic panorama of the Rio Tejo. By day Lisbon is a charming and quaint city perfect for lovers of the laid back cafe culture. At night the town comes to life as jovial locals and visitors make use of the absence of laws prohibiting consuming alcohol on the streets. 


The third-largest city in Spain on Spain's South Eastern Mediterranean Coast
Famous for the City of Arts and Sciences, with futuristic structures designed by Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela and its many beaches within walking distance of the city centre. Home of the Paella dish, this mid-sized city with a laid-back Mediterranean feel has sunny weather, great beaches, a historical old-town, local markets, and plenty of areas and cultural activities to explore. 
It is clean, rich in culture and very safe. 


Are you eligible for the Erasmus+ vocational work experience programme?

If the following applies to you, then you are eligible to apply for this Erasmus+ programme:

  • You are aged 18+ on departure.
  • You are a citizen of the European Union with a permanent UK address, UK bank account and have the right to live and work in the UK and your destination country.
  • You have a valid UK/EU passport with more than six months validity after your return date.
  • You can commit to the full programme duration, 92 days (13 weeks)
  • You are educated to GCSE level and have a minimum of 5 GCSEs
  • You can attend 3-5 days of preparatory training in London to achieve your Level 3 unit contribution. Attendance at the preparatory training is compulsory.
  • You have already graduated, if you are looking for a year in industry placement, you are not eligible.
  • You have previous experience or qualifications in Digital Marketing, Hospitality or TESOL/TEFL.

*Please note that any costs incurred, for example, travel and accommodation for the training days at Twin or travel to and from the airport are not covered under the Erasmus+ funding. You will need to cover these costs.

You must be able to commit to the full 3-month duration of the placement. We cannot receive applications from University students looking for 'year in industry' placements.

Application process

Please note: This programme applies to candidates who can demonstrate previous experience or relevant qualifications in the following sectors: Digital Marketing, Hospitality or TEFL. This programme works on a first-come, first-serve basis.

When completing your online application, please consider and include the following:

  • All information that is relevant to your placement, for example, Digital Marketing: personal and professional experience, what software you have previously used, examples of any previous experience. Your rationale for applying for the programme and how you feel it will benefit your future career prospects
  • Please review the available work placements available within your destination and sector and include your preference on the application.
  • Ensure your CV is up to date and relevant to your application.

Once we have received your completed application and CV, we will contact you via email within 72 hours confirming receipt.

If your application is successful, our Erasmus team will arrange a call with you to discuss your application, eligibility, reasons for applying and potential work experience placement and commitment to the programme duration.

If successful at this stage, we will circulate your CV and application to our host companies in your chosen destination and arrange a telephone interview with our in-country partners.
You may also be required to attend a third interview directly with Host Company before actual placement confirmation.
All interviews will be conducted in English.

Once all interviews are complete, you will be notified by email if you have been successful.
This process can take up to 4 weeks from your initial application.
