Helping young people prepare for further work and study

Study Programme

The BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Workskills has been designed to help young people take the next steps to move forward with their careers. We here at Twin understand and appreciate that A-Levels aren’t for everyone and some students would prefer to take a more vocational qualification.

A BTEC Diploma in Workskills can be tailored towards your individual goals in industries such as sports, media, retail and enterprise, while helping to provide a sense of independence that is rare in more traditional schooling environments. On the course, you will also gain Level 2 Functional Skills qualifications in Maths, English & ICT as well as undertake a work placement, sourced by Twin, which will allow you to experience the working world.

Today’s job market is very competitive; in order to secure a job, you need to stand out from the competition; you will need to be able to highlight and showcase skills and experience that others do not possess.

Upon finishing the course, you will be able to:

  • Understand feedback on a CV
  • Conduct research for a chosen career pathway and plan for career progression
  • Discover what skills and qualities are needed for different workplace activities
  • Set career focused goals

You will have gained four recognised qualifications which are accredited by Edexcel:

  • Edexcel Level 2 diploma in Work Skills
  • Edexcel Functional Skills Level 2 (Maths, English & ICT)

On our study programme, you will not only develop your employability skills but you will receive support with preparing for job and further education applications.
