Applying for jobs can be a daunting and lengthy process, but the sooner you begin, the sooner you will fulfil your New Year’s resolution of getting a new job; which let’s face it, with the recently revealed statistics for the year about employees job satisfaction – or the lack of, is for the best.

According to a study carried out by the online jobsite Totaljobs.com, only 12 per cent, of 5,000 participants who were asked, said that they felt “fully engaged” with their current roles. Half of those asked, admitted that they were exploring other jobs whilst at work and two-thirds said that they don’t think they’ll stay in their current jobs by the end of 2018.

January through to February is thought to be one of the best times to apply for jobs because it’s when businesses get their budgets for the year and start to splash the cash on new employees. (Alternatively, late September into October is also a good time to apply for jobs.)

The 100 Best Companies to Work For in the mid-size category (250-3,000 employees)
