Work experience in the UK may arise from RUssia trade deals

Mr Cameron led a delegation of businessmen from the UK as he sought a closer economic relationship with the Russians, arguing there will be many benefits for both countries from this.

Speaking in Moscow, he said: "Russia is resource rich and services light. Britain is the opposite," noting the UK is a major investor in Russia, which in turn owns a quarter of firms listed on the London Stock Exchange.

"So we are uniquely placed to help each other grow," Mr Cameron stated.

The government said this trip has secured £215 million worth of new deals, which will create over 500 new jobs in Britain.

Other efforts to boost trade between the UK and other countries include the UK-China economic and financial dialogue, which was hosted last week by chancellor George Osborne as British and Chinese officials discussed trade and investment issues.
