Happy Families, Happy Futures: Working together for stronger relationships

Our Happy Families, Happy Futures programme has now finished. For further information and sources of support, please contact your local authority.

Happy Families, Happy Futures was designed to help improve communications and ease tensions between parents*, supporting a happy environment for their children. The programme was part of the wider Reducing Parental Conflict government strategy and programme and delivered by Twin across Dorset, Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole, Wiltshire, Somerset, Devon, Plymouth and Torbay local authority areas from 2019 to July 2022.

During this period, over 1200 parents were supported by Twin and their delivery partners in attending and completing evidence-based interventions. The interventions aimed to support parents who were either in an intact or separated relationship with advice and guidance, development of practical techniques, improve communications and build skills to help reduce parental conflict that can affect the behaviour of children, their overall development and later life chances.
