Details about our NCS Skills Boster Programme 2022 and available roles in London and Dorset.

Skills Booster is a programme launched in 2021 by the NCS (National Citizen Service) for schools and colleges to help young people focus on their wellbeing and future goals. 

Why Skills Booster? 

To help students from mainstream and non-mainstream settings to be 'world-ready' and 'work-ready', aligning with the government’s focus on employability, and the 'Levelling Up' agenda.

What is Twin’s NCS Skills Booster Programme?

  • It consists of 15 hours of delivery within a school or college setting, delivering to groups of up to 20 students in years 11 and 12.
  • As part of our commitment to widening participation, we often deliver these sessions to students who are at an SEN school or a pupil referral unit. 
  • You will deliver pre-prepared session plans on a variety of topics including mental health, employability and money management. 

When and where? 

Our programmes will be delivered throughout the year, during term time, in locations across South and East London, as well as schools around the Poole area in Dorset. Refer to the table below to see what boroughs we will run our programme in

What are we looking for? 

Confident facilitators or mentors, who would enjoy leading classroom-based sessions with flexibility in their work patterns. For more information about this role click here

In addition to the Skills Booster programme, we will run social action activities in Greenwich/Bexley throughout the year on evenings and some weekends.
