Dilek Cicek came to the UK as a refugee from Turkey, hoping to build a better future. Like many others in her position, she found it difficult to adjust to a new country. One of the biggest challenges she faced was finding work. Between the language barrier, unfamiliar systems, and a lack of confidence, the job search often felt overwhelming. 

Things started to change when Dilek joined the Restart Scheme in Leicester and began working with Employment Coach Asgar Suleman. From the beginning, Asgar focused on building trust and understanding what Dilek needed to move forward. She saw more than Dilek’s circumstances.

After weeks of effort and support, Dilek secured a job. For her, this was more than just employment. It marked the beginning of a new chapter.
